Email marketing is one of the most effective and profitable digital marketing strategies. Over the years, it has grown in popularity among companies of all sizes. With the click of a single button, a company email can provide valuable information, coupons and deals to new and existing customers, thereby driving numerous website visits and sales.

Here are some tips and tricks for an effective email marketing campaign for your business:

Keep the subject-line of your email short and crisp: The subject-line is one important thing that will draw your customer’s attention. Therefore, it should read short and to the point, be accurate about what’s inside the email and focused on the benefit. To draw more attention, you can use strong action words or even phrases.

Include the recipient’s name: Studies have shown that about people open more emails that include the recipient's first name than those that don’t. Personalization is crucial for a successful email campaign. Generate a personalized subject line that will attract the attention of the recipients of your email and engage them. 

Use Omni-channel functionality: Since you are unaware of which device your audience is going to open their email on, it’s important that you create an email that can be opened in a variety of devices. If your email marketing campaign is not mobile-ready, make that a priority.

Segment your email: Email segmentation is important to increasing your email marketing metrics and conversion rates. Target your campaigns to appropriate segments, as per their needs. Do not send out the emails to everyone in your list.

Avoid overloading your recipient’s inbox: Stick to sending out just two to four emails per week to avoid flooding your customers' inboxes. Sending too many emails (four to eight times) per week will overload your customer’s inbox and may lead to low open rates.
